What a pressure sensor does and why it fails
The pressure sensor tells the boiler control what the system pressure is – and, on modern boilers, whether that pressure is safe to fire. Sensors fail from corrosion, water intrusion into the connector, or membrane fatigue. Symptoms: pressure fault codes with a stable system, or a stubborn “low pressure” fault after refilling.
How to choose the right one
- Match the OEM reference first – it is the most reliable way to pick the correct replacement.
- Verify the connection and pressure range against the boiler.
- Check compatibility against the exact model on our product page.

Frequently asked questions
Can I fit a universal pressure sensor?
Only where our product page explicitly lists your boiler model as VERIFIED or HIGH CONFIDENCE. Otherwise, use the model-specific compatible reference.
How do I identify the OEM reference?
It is printed on the sensor body or listed in the boiler’s service manual next to the pressure-sensor part number.
