Quality control – how HeatSpares vets compatible spare parts

We buy parts before we sell them. Every product line goes through the same steps before it becomes available to trade customers.

Our QC steps

  1. Sample – We order a sample from a shortlisted supplier.
  2. Visual inspection – Casting, finish, connectors, seals, wiring quality.
  3. Dimensional check – Threads, flanges, bores, gasket seats, cord thickness.
  4. OEM comparison – Side-by-side against the OEM reference we mean to replace.
  5. Test – Functional test where applicable (pressure hold, resistance curve, flow response, cycle test).
  6. Compatibility verification – Which boiler models the part actually fits and functions in.
  7. Documentation – Photos, measurements, test results, sources.
  8. Approval – Approved / rejected. Approved parts move to sourcing at scale.

Statuses per product line: SAMPLE / TESTING / APPROVED / REJECTED / ACTIVE / DISCONTINUED.

What we do not claim

We do not claim certification we cannot back up. Where a component has a mandatory certification requirement (for example safety-critical parts), we only publish it once that certification is in place.

What this means for you

Compatibility on a HeatSpares product page is either VERIFIED or HIGH CONFIDENCE. If we cannot back it up, we do not publish it as compatible. If a part in the field turns out not to fit, tell us – we correct the compatibility record and take responsibility per the returns and warranty policies.
